Biodesign fellows started their project

Biodesign fellows started their project on March 16. The first fellows are:

Katja Ivanitskiy, M.D.

Jukka Kärkimaa, M.Sc.

Sakari Nikinmaa, M.Sc.

Anssi Mikola, M.Sc.

During the first month, the team receives training from the biodesign faculty and volunteering mentors on various aspects of the biodesign process, including need-statement development, medicine, and entrepreneurship. On April 11 – May 6, the fellows will conduct their immersion at the Children's Hospital in Meilahti. After the immersion, the team will systematically analyze the needs developed from their observations and eventually select one for which they will develop a business case.
