First Biodesign Finland Workshop

The Biodesign Finland Workshop held on January 25 - 26, 2016 at Aalto University introduced the Biodesign process to the local community. In the workshop, Prof. Balram Bhargava and Dr. Prashant Jha (School of International Biodesign, New Delhi, India) engaged the participants in learning by guiding them through mini biodesign projects. At first, the participants were divided into small interdisciplinary teams, and the teams were given clinical observations. The teams then applied the biodesign process by developing need statements, selecting the most promising ones, and brainstorming a few concepts. Finally, each team built a prototype and developed a business case for their product.
